Beta Programs
Klok 2.0
Klok 2.0 is getting close to a release but we have a few more features to finish up. If you are interested in testing out the beta version and are willing to provide feedback you can download it by making a donation today.
KlokWork
KlokWork is an underlying pluggable architecture that allows Klok to talk to server-based systems. This could be an external system such as FreshBooks or GetHarvest or an internal home-grown time tracking system. We are currently looking for small organizations or teams (6 or fewer users) to test this functionality. In this first round of testing, Klok will connect to our own deployed server environment that will allow for group based reporting. So you do not need to host your own server or have existing accounts with any third-party vendor. Later rounds of testing will include integration other providers. If you are a small team and would like to help us test up this functionality, let us know.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why not start with an existing third-party system?
It turns out that most online time tracking systems to not track enough information about individual time entries. For example, a time entry may store the duration of time worked, but it won't store the actual start and end time. This information is crucial to the calendar view in Klok.
Will KlokWork be free?
While the details regarding KlokWork are not all worked out, it is likely that KlokWork will not be free. It will most likely be licensed on a per-user basis.
When will KlokWork be available?
KlokWork's availability will be decided based on the feedback we receive during testing.
Will KlokWork support offline use and automatically synchronize when connected?
This is the goal. However, in the first round of testing, only real-time connections will be supported.
